The line between endangered & extinction is in mankind's control. Hello, my name is Fiona and I love painting and drawing New Zealand wildlife in a realistic style.
My interest in creating artworks has increased over the years as I now have more time to practice and look to progress this from a hobby into a career. 2010 marked the beginning of my first series with a painting of a North Island brown kiwi standing alone high up on a plinth calling out. The first instalment of this series was exhibited in 2020 and focused on mankind's relationship with nature and the line between endangered & extinction.
I keep a journal where I describe any new ideas for paintings and have recently started on a couple of new series.
